Prep for a Picture-Perfect Spray Tan
Before your session:
- Shave prior to visit.
- Shower and exfoliate before spray session. Use a spray friendly body scrub, not a bar soap.
- Spend a little extra time exfoliating areas with thick skin, such as knees, elbows, and ankles.
- Apply barrier cream to your cuticles and nail beds to ward off excess color buildup in those areas.
During Your Spray Session:
- Wear undergarments to protect sensitive areas.
- Keep your mouth closed during the application process.
- Protect your lips by applying lip balm.
- To avoid inhaling the product through your nose, use plugs to close your nostrils.
After your session:
- Wear loose, dark clothing.
- Wear open shoes, like flip-flops. If raining wear something soft and protective like UGGS™.
- Avoid sweating – do not exercise until after your first shower.
- Avoid getting your skin wet, even from rain, doing dishes or washing your hands.
- Wait 6 hours before you shower don’t use soap unless you use our Norvell and mri products that are spray tan approved for best results. Avoid using loofahs or anything harsh until you want your tan to fade or prep for a new spray!
- After your first shower, moisturize with one of our spray tan approved tan extenders 2-3 times a day! Hydrated skin will maintain a picture-perfect tan!
