Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager

Responsible for meeting Company goals by overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including sales, customer service, facilities management, and part-time staff management.

The Store Manager role is a full time position.
The Assistant Store Manager is a part time position.

Your number one job will be to ensure that when a guest walks out of the store that tanning with Soleil was the best part of their day.  You will do this by providing the highest level of guest service possible and ensuring that the staff your oversee does the same.
Your number two job is to make sure that your store does not just meet, but exceeds our sales targets.  This will be accomplished primarily through selling memberships, preventing cancellations, upselling existing members, and selling tanning products.  
Essential Job Functions:

  • Driving sales by following our 5 step sales method.  This will include coaching part time staff in store at how to effectively sell memberships, upgrades, and tanning products.

  • Providing the highest level of customer service to all of our guests to ensure that their time at Soleil Tans was the best part of their day.

  • Manage and schedule staff.

  • Process payroll.

  • Enforces processes and policies established for improving and monitoring group performance against customer service and sales expectations

  • Directs all staff activities to ensure safety and compliance with customer service standards, legal and regulatory requirements and industry practices

  • Sources, interacts with and oversees vendors for outside services as necessary

  • Assists with meeting financial goals through accurate scheduling and purchasing

  • Membership management, responsible for all welcome, retention, and clear up calls

  • Ensures facility and equipment (re-lamping as needed) are kept clean and well maintained at all times

  • Makes certain that store is opened and closed on time with sufficient staffing

  • Responsible for maintaining supplies, inventory, and restocking when necessary.

  • Contributes to advertising and marketing efforts as requested

  • Fills in for absent employees throughout Company as needed

  • Upholds Company’s image in all employee, client and general public relations

  • Attends all leadership huddles and mandatory Company meetings


  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must have at least two years or proven sales/retail experience.  A large part of your compensation will be bonuses based on achieving sales goals so you need to know how to sell and how to help others sell more effectively.

  • Must be available 40 – 50 hours per week.  Ideally able to work at least one weekend day per week.

  • Must be organized and self-motivated, with excellent time-management skills

  • Must be a hands-on performer, willing and able to do whatever it takes to get the job done

  • Must have excellent communication skills, with ability to motivate employees 

  • Must have good working knowledge of basic computer applications

  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft office Suite and Google Applications).



  • 1+ years experience managing a team in a retail or customer service environment.

  • Experience working in a commission based sales role.  We are looking for people to help drive growth and will pay you well if you do!

  • Associate or Bachelor degree

Tanning Xpert

Your number one job is to make sure that tanning at Soleil Tans is the best part of our guests day.  You will also be responsible for selling memberships, bed upgrades, and products and you will be rewarded for doing so!

Responsible for helping your location hit its goal by encouraging sales of membership, upselling existing members, and helping guests pick the products that will help them get the most out of their time in a tanning bed. 
Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide a consistently high level of customer service to all Soleil Tans guests.

  • Selling Soleil Tans memberships, upselling existing members, and helping guests 

  • Understands each lotion and up-sells to each client

  • Understands each tanning bed and upsells to each client as appropriate

  • Understands health and safety issues and can clearly convey information to clients

  • Handles data entry duties in a timely and accurate manner

  • Works with management to maintain top level customer service and exceed standard tanning industry expectations

  • Ensures laundry, facility and equipment are kept clean and well maintained at all times

  • Follows bed cleaning schedule and procedures as requested

  • Upholds Company’s image in all employee, client and general public relations

  • Attends all mandatory Company meetings


  • At least one year in a customer facing role – we are looking for guest service rockstars!

  • Must be friendly and enthusiastic while on the clock

  • Must be neat, well-groomed and attentive to appearance

  • Must be on-time and prepared to work as scheduled

  • Available at least 20 hours per week including at least one Saturday or Sunday per week


  • At least one year in a retail or other sales driven environment.  You will be paid on sales of memberships and other products.  If you help us grow, you WILL get paid
